MTV's "Weird Vibes

I am not a fan of MTV, let's leave it at that. But this new web series called Weird Vibes is SO GOOD!!!!!!!! I love all of the bands, the bad 80's graphics...it looks super promising! Not to mention the sad "It's Not Easy Being a Buzz Band" theme is just too hilarious. "People say 'another beach band' like it's a bad thing..."

wtf, MTV has so much interesting content that it could be airing but instead they put it all onto the internet where it is safely hidden?

like i get the corporation takeover thing that happened with MTV and why they started filtering their videos down to the lowest common denominator, but stuff like this shows that there are still people working for MTV who are totally into new music that is interesting and small-scale...

edbfiserlhgwr like i just don't get why MTV bothers having genuine music fans working for them if their music knowledge is going to be put to absolutely no use in deciding what makes it onto the air. like John Norris and Carson Daly, those guys actually know about music and they worked at MTV for SO long. and only now do they have platforms to legitimately discuss their ideas and opinions. i mean, i'm not even a Carson fan really, but i have no idea how he did TRL all those years looking at him now.

but yeah, this web series is awesome! FRANKIE ROSE IS THE CUTEST!!!

Ohmigod I love this! Thank you for showing it to me! But seriously, I agree with Leah P. MTV does actually know pretty good music, but they never showcase it. They'd rather encourage us teenagers to get pregnant and listen to Katy Perry because that sells more ads.

Haha this is great. Reminds me a bit of Tim and Eric's Awesome Show...the bad '80s graphics are definitely the best! And I love the little blurbs they put underneath as they interview them. So good! Thanks fer postin'! xx

i just found out that Shirley Braha is behind "Weird Vibes" aka BFF of Peggy Wang and the one who introduced Peggy and Kip so basically the lady responsible for The Pains as we know them! no wonder this show is cool.
